Magritte Silk

Magritte Museum, which occupies the neoclassical Hôtel Altenloh - XVIII century palace restored by the Belgian architect Winston Spriet - is located in the Mont des Arts called of Brussels, near the Royal Palace and the Palace of Fine Arts. Opened in June 2009, brings together the world's largest collection of works by the artist, divided chronologically into three levels with a total of 2500 square meters of exhibition area. The building, its façade in keeping with the surroundings of the Royal Plaza, opens at the back with a large glass area, in addition to natural lighting provide entrance hall to the room of each of the plants, can enjoy a panoramic view of the city.

De René Magritte says everything, so I will not entertain to review the topics that anyone can see in books or online, but would like to make a reflection which appears in the prospectus delivered to you buy the ticket, and that regardless of curious proposal that contains, I was struck by the reference to the acolytes of Baden-Powell, as many in the streets of Brussels and Bruges. It reads:
hate my past and that of others. Hate resignation, patience, professional heroism, and any forced sentimentality. I also hate the decorative arts, folklore, advertising, voice speakers, the aerodynamics, the boy scouts, the smell of gasoline, today and drunk people. I like the subversive humor, freckles, knees, long hair of women, the laughter of children at large, a young girl running down the street. I want to love living the impossible and unrealistic. I fear precisely know my limits.
